Hallie Jean Eayrs, 46, passed away on November 20, 2019, in her home in Missoula due to complications from heart disease. A private memorial is planned for spring 2020.

She was born October 2, 1973 in Whitefish, MT to James and Judith Eayrs. Her parents passed away when she was young, and she was raised by her grandparents, Julius and Helen Major, in Kalispell, MT. She became very close with her grandmother, Helen, thinking of her as another mother. She worked multiple jobs as a teenager and graduated high school six months early.

When she was 18 she married Derek Wink and had her first child, Zachary. Later in life she remarried Keith Flaget and had two more children, Madison and Jacob. Eventually she and Keith separated, and she raised her children as a single mother for some time. She had her hands full with them creating crayon art on the walls, riding mattresses down stairs, and biking around the baseball fields. Though her children eventually went to live with their fathers, she still did her best to look after them.

In her younger days, Hallie enjoyed gardening and spending time in nature. She has always had a strong love for animals, owning several cats and later her dog Jazzy. She often read to her children, in particular the book Guess How Much I Love You. She was raised as a Jehovahs’s Witness and later embraced the power of healing crystals and other natural remedies.

She is survived by her three children (Zach, Madison, and Jake), two grandchildren (Evelyn and James), her sisters (Julie and Tina), her grandmother (Helen), and numerous cousins, nieces,

and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents (James and Judith Eayrs), her aunt (Janel Seamen), her uncle (Charles Major), and her grandfather (Julius Major). A private memorial is planned for spring 2020.

Hallie had more than her fair share of inner turmoil, but we take solace in the knowledge that she is at peace now, with her mother and father. We love you to the moon and back. We never say goodbye, we always say “see you later.”
